Pilates was originally developed by Joseph Pilates. Pilates helps to build strength, flexibility and balance without developing bulk in your muscles. Pilates focuses on a combination of breathwork and physical exercises to build each of these areas over time. It is best known for addressing postural issues and back pain due to its focus on building core strength.
